Old Friends and New

At the end of Star Children the Galactic Alliance included only seven of twelve species who are the children of the Gods. The Emperor challanged them to find the remaining five species, to bring them into the Alliance, to establish a lasting peace between them, and to develop the technology to reach Beltaria without the use of the Crystal Pyramid system. Until such time as they achieve these goals, only Amanda, Katron, Kimshee and Fritz are allowed to visit the Galaxy Keeper.

All doesn't go according to the Emperor's plan, however. When a delagation of human diplomats decide they are above the law, the delicate peace with the Galaxy Keeper established by the Alpha Explorers is upset. In their effort to undo the damage caused by this intrusion, the team encounters new challanges and meets several previosly unknown species, including one that is as ancient as the Valtorians.

If you have not yet read the book, I suggest you meet the characters in the story as it progresses rather than viewing their biographies ahead of time, perhaps referring back here as the various species and characters are introduced to get additional information. Learning too much about the characters in advance may disclose too much of the story prematurely.
